Clare & Marks Awesome Trerethern Farm Festival Wedding
Where did this year go?! As we head into November and wedding season is coming to an end, I have finally got a little spare time to sit down and look back on some of the epic weddings I have been fortunate to have been invited to capture this year. And when I think of the word ‘epic’, Clare and Mark’s august wedding at Trerethern Farm near Padstow, Cornwall immediately springs to mind!
Not only was it a super relaxed and fun festival atmosphere, it was also a military wedding complete with uniforms and a guard of honour. Mark had created a pimms bar, a gin bar, a bath full of beer, ski shots, so everyone was well oiled throughout the day and there was plenty of things to do with a bouncy castle, bungee run thingy-bob, volleyball, archery - the list goes on.
The tipi’s looked epic, with the decoration and flowers all created by the couple and their family. A hog roast dinner with pasties in the evening and the biggest dessert table i’ve ever seen made sure everyone (and myself) were all kept well fed.
The weather was a typical Cornish bank holiday weekend affair - very changeable! But Clare and Mark were super chilled and just rolled with the frequent showers and as we were at such a great location, we were able to just work around the brief rain spells, it did nothing to dampen everyones spirits. And the best thing with rain - it leads to rainbows - and we were treated to some amazing one’s throughout the day.
It just leaves me to say that I genuinely had an amazing time getting to know Clare and Mark, from their first enquiry to their engagement shoot at Treyarnon bay and then to the big day itself. They have an amazing group of friends and family it was my pleasure to capture their big day!
